Connie has all of the checkbooks. She oversees all financial
aspects of CreditRe band its affiliated entities, as well as
provides tax return consulting for a dozen producer-affiliated
reinsurers. She has indicated a desire to move gradually out of
the operations by yearend, but she will remain as the Chairman
of the Board since she is the only person with veto power over
any aspect of the operation.
Connie has over twenty-five years (wow—it’s now almost 30!) of
experience in performing a variety of accounting and financial
functions. Her major areas of expertise include statutory and
GAAP financial statements, annual statutory statements, and
Federal Income Tax returns for domestic and offshore
producer-owned reinsurance companies. Prior to the formation of
CreditRe, her activities in 12 years at The Credit Life
Insurance Company of Springfield, Ohio included GAAP and
statutory financial statement preparation and analysis,
consolidations, profitability analysis, functional cost
analysis, and control of the corporate budget process.
Connie holds a Master of Science in Taxation from The University
of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Business Administration
in Accounting, Cum Laude, from Cleveland State University,
though her heart belongs with the University of Kentucky
Wildcats, her first college experience. She is also a Master
Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI).
