David Presar, who joined CREDITRE in March 2007, has over twenty
years of financial and insurance industry experience. After
graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Business
Administration in Accounting, he began his career with KPMG in
the Columbus, Ohio office, specializing in the firm’s insurance
industry audit practice. He joined The Credit Life Insurance
Company of Springfield, Ohio in 1989 and remained with the
company through subsequent acquisitions by Aon Corporation and
General Electric Corporation, serving in Finance, Reinsurance,
and Operations roles. He joined Individual Assurance Company in
2000, where he served as Senior Vice President of Operations,
with responsibility for Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance,
Information Technology, and Administration functions.
David’s responsibilities with CREDITRE include managing the
finance, banking, regulatory reporting, and tax functions of the
company; preparing monthly statutory and GAAP financial
statements, annual statutory statements, and Federal Income Tax
returns for domestic and offshore producer-owned reinsurance
companies; and providing assistance to actuarial valuation and
consulting projects.
Proving once and for all that accountants are more exciting than
actuaries, David, who is an avid marathon runner, is adept at
calculating his mile pace and miles per hour, while converting
to metric when feeling the need for additional exhilaration.
