2013 F&I Office Protection Products Conference Updates
For those who have attended in the past, thank you for your prior attendances. Your questions, comments, and insights are a major part of the enduring value of these conferences. We had 90 individual attendees last year, with 56 attending Fundamentals, 70 attending Tax/Reinsurance, and 55 attending Products. It was a unique and educational three days.
We are finalizing our agendas this week for the 2013 VRP Conferences that are just six weeks away. We intend to follow the same format as last year and have most of the same knowledgeable group of presenters, a year older and even wiser than last year.
The format will be similar to our past conferences. The first day, Fundamentals, will remain a teaching day and seminar. It provides an overview of the products; the obligors, insurers, and reinsurers; risk transfer structures; accounting; and taxation of the insurers and reinsurers. You have built an intricate industry with layers of complexity. Each year of attendance serves to deepen your knowledge.
Tax/Reinsurance will include an array of interesting discussions regarding FATCA and other tax and regulatory actions. Regarding reinsurance and domiciles, the Delaware Tribe of Indians will present a short segment on the structure of their new domicile, and will be available throughout the three days to have offline discussions if you would like more information.
Products will be another full day of product evolution and innovations, trends in loss experience, and a legal update. We have a variety of speakers, each with a deep understanding of the topics they will discuss.
We will send further correspondence over the next ten days as we confirm our guest speakers and finalize the outline for each day.
